Career Communications, Inc., provides professional development opportunities for each of our American Careers programs. Facilitators who lead the two- to three-hour sessions are experienced teachers and presenters who regularly engage in continuous quality improvement practices. In these sessions, participants:

  1. •Experience how to create connections between the
    American Careers program and their existing academic
    or guidance programs

  2. •Find ways to use career awareness and exploration as
    a context to help students discover the connection between “school work” and work in the real world – the relevance
    that motivates students to invest in their learning

  3. •Explore ways to integrate both academic and workplace content

  4. •Engage in small group work that provides an opportunity
    for teachers and counselors to share practical experience
    and responses


Handouts and supplies are provided by Career Communications, Inc. Copies of American Careers program materials and arrangements for the site, site set-up and audiovisual equipment and connections
will be provided by the sponsor.
